EPDM Systems – (Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer) Often referred to as rubber single-ply roof, EPDM systems have a proven performance track record dating back over 40 years. EPDM systems can be adhered mechanically to the substrate/deck using screws or other types of fasteners, fully adhered with bonding adhesive, or ballasted with river rock. Typical material thickness is 45 or 60 millimeter, available in black or white and reinforced. Seams are adhered to the substrate using special adhesive. EPDM systems are not designed for ponding water.
Features and Characteristics of EPDM’s Roofing Systems
- Cyclical membrane fatigue resistance
- High resistance to ozone, weathering and abrasion
